Four packages, each with a mileage allowance. Taxes, the Florida rental surcharge and any delivery fee are itemized in your estimate before you request anything.

Every rental includes a generous mileage allowance. Additional mileage is billed at $4.00 per mile based on the vehicle's documented starting and ending odometer readings. Allowances apply across your whole rental, not per day. Unlimited mileage is not offered.

Before you book
Is my request a confirmed booking?
No. A request tells us what you'd like. Your booking is confirmed only after we check availability, verify your driver's license and insurance, and authorize payment and the refundable deposit.
What do I need to rent?
Every driver must be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and insurance must be verified and approved before the rental begins. We collect documents securely during verification, never through the website form.
Will my personal auto insurance cover the R8?
Not always. Personal auto policies may not automatically cover exotic vehicle rentals, so check with your insurer before you book. We confirm acceptable coverage during verification.
Can someone else drive?
Only drivers approved and listed on the rental agreement before the rental begins. Unauthorized drivers are prohibited.
How does mileage work?
Each package includes an allowance for the whole rental: 60 miles for 4 hours, 200 miles for 2 days, 100 miles per day for 3–6 days, and 700 miles for 7 days. Additional miles are $4.00 each, based on documented starting and ending odometer readings.
What if it rains?
Summer storms here usually pass quickly, and the power soft top closes so a shower doesn't end your drive. Weather-related rescheduling requests are reviewed individually.
Can I take it out of Florida?
Rentals stay within Florida unless agreed in writing. Racing, track use and towing are not allowed.
How do cancellations work?
Cancel 72 hours or more before pickup for a full refund of eligible prepaid rental charges. See the full cancellation policy for shorter notice, no-shows and early returns.

Weather
Weather-related rescheduling requests are evaluated individually. Refunds and extensions are not automatic.

Authorized drivers
Only drivers approved by Torque & Tide and named on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.
Insurance verification
Acceptable insurance must be verified before the rental begins. The security deposit does not replace insurance, and rentals are subject to approved insurance arrangements.
Security deposit authorization
A refundable security deposit authorization of $1,500 is required before the rental begins. The deposit is separate from the rental charge and may be used toward properly documented charges permitted by the rental agreement. Final deposit requirements are subject to driver verification and insurance approval.
Excess mileage
Miles beyond your package allowance are billed at $4.00 per mile, based on the documented starting and ending odometer readings.
Fuel
The car is provided with a full tank and should be returned the same way, using the fuel grade specified in the rental agreement.
Late returns
Please return the car at the agreed time. Late returns may result in additional charges as set out in the rental agreement.
Smoking and interior damage
Smoking and vaping are prohibited. Interior damage, odors or excessive cleaning may be charged as provided in the rental agreement.
Wheels and tires
Low-profile wheels and tires are easily damaged by curbs and potholes. Wheel and tire damage during the rental is the renter's responsibility as provided in the rental agreement.
Undercarriage
Take care with steep driveways, speed bumps and parking blocks. Undercarriage damage during the rental is the renter's responsibility as provided in the rental agreement.
Accidents and incidents
Report any accident, damage, theft or warning light to Torque & Tide immediately, and to law enforcement where required.
Unauthorized use
Use outside the rental agreement, including by unapproved drivers or for prohibited activities, may end the rental and void protections.
Tolls, parking and violations
Tolls, parking tickets and traffic violations incurred during the rental are the renter's responsibility as provided in the rental agreement.
Track use and racing
Track days, racing, speed competitions and timed events of any kind are strictly prohibited.
Vehicle recovery and towing
If the vehicle must be recovered or towed because of a breach of the rental agreement, related costs may be charged as provided in the agreement.
Damage responsibility
The renter is responsible for damage occurring during the rental period, as provided in the rental agreement and applicable law.
Rental extensions
Extensions must be requested before your scheduled return and approved in writing, subject to availability.
Privacy
We use your details only to process your request and run your rental. We never sell your information.
